People today live in a world where they are taught how to live their lives andwhat products they should purchase. TV commercials, social networking websites and fashionmagazines deliver enormous information, sending the message that unlessconsumers purchase something popular in society, they will experience a sense of exclusionand feel out of touchwith the world.
    The consumer society also creates many positive role models inshopping, settingbenchmarks for us. These people can be famous movie stars and in the spotlight frequently.Consumers may harbour the notion that they should buy what these celebritieswear, use and consume, if they intend to attract attention and gain a sense of fulfillment.
    On the other hand, the similarity of buying behaviour maysimply reveal that people today are able to afford fashion consumer goods and benefitfrom these buying decisions. Fashion was previously the symbol of status, buttoday, it is a symbolof ordinary.People purchase fashion in line with their moods, artistic tastes and social situations. Also,people use mobile phones or tablet computer as a normal part of everyday life, and it is pointless toregard this as an attempt to imitate others.
